What the weekly operational rhythm with Coyne Labs looks like
Most agencies are opaque about what actually happens week to week. The client pays a retainer, sees a monthly report, and wonders what everyone is doing in between. At Coyne Labs, the rhythm is documented and visible. Here is what actually happens.
Monday
Internal strategy review. The Coyne Labs team reviews every client's data from the previous week: rankings, lead volume, ad performance, content performance, review activity. Issues get assigned. Priorities get set for the week.
No client interaction required.
Tuesday
Content production. Most client posts are written or finalized on Tuesdays. Blog posts get drafted, edited, fact-checked, and scheduled. GBP posts for the week get queued. Ad creative reviews happen.
Client may receive 1-2 items for review if their workflow includes approval on major content (not all clients use this).
Wednesday
Ad optimization and technical SEO. Paid campaigns get reviewed and adjusted based on the week's data. Technical SEO issues (404s, page speed regressions, Core Web Vitals warnings) get resolved.
No client interaction typical.
Thursday
Client strategy calls. Most client strategy calls happen Thursday afternoon. 30 minutes. The account lead and (for founder beta clients) James walk through the week's data, recent wins, any issues, and the next week's priorities.
Friday
Publishing and reporting. Weekly blog posts publish. GBP posts publish. Review requests to last week's customers go out. Any weekly reports (for clients requesting weekly cadence) send.
No client interaction required.
Saturday and Sunday
Nothing. Zero client interaction. Automated systems run (GBP posts still publish on scheduled times, review request automations fire) but no human is working.
Monthly rhythm
First Monday of the month: Growth Report is compiled.
First Thursday of the month: The Growth Report is delivered in a 30-45 minute client strategy call. The month's performance vs. last month, vs. YoY, and the month-ahead plan are walked through in detail.
Mid-month: A mid-month check-in call (15 minutes) for clients who want it. Optional.
Quarterly rhythm
End of each quarter: A comprehensive quarterly review. What worked, what did not, adjustments to the playbook, and a forward-looking strategy for the next quarter.
This is where major strategic pivots happen — new service pages, new ad angles, competitor responses, market shifts.
Annual rhythm
End of year 1 (month 12): Full ownership documentation handoff. Year 1 performance summary. Year 2 strategy plan.
End of year 2 and beyond: Annual strategy session, scope review, retainer tier evaluation.
What the client actually does each week
- —Reads an email summary on Monday (optional)
- —Responds to any content approval items Tuesday (if applicable)
- —Joins the Thursday strategy call (30 minutes)
- —Forwards any exception items from the week (a customer complaint, a new service launch, a market event)
Total owner time per week: 45-60 minutes.
What the client does not do
- —Manage vendors
- —Write content
- —Run ads
- —Post on GBP
- —Fix technical issues
- —Respond to reviews
- —Pull reports
The agency is the marketing team. The client is the owner.
Why this rhythm works
A predictable operational cadence means nothing gets missed, nothing slips, and the client knows what to expect. Reactive agencies lurch from crisis to crisis. Systematic agencies compound.
Why Coyne Labs
The rhythm is intentional. It reflects the infrastructure-builder approach we take to marketing. For more on the client experience, read a week in the life of a Coyne Labs client. Or book a call to see the rhythm in action.
